KCK Hospital began as a small orthopaedic clinic on Kolathur Main Road and grew, patient by patient, into the multispeciality hospital the neighbourhood now calls first in an emergency.
Our mission
Families in an emergency should not have to gamble on where to go. Our mission is simple — give people in Kolathur, Villivakkam and Ambattur hospital-grade orthopaedic, medical and surgical care within a few minutes of home, at a price they can plan for.
That has meant investing in the unglamorous things first: a modular operation theatre, a monitored ICU with ventilator support, a laboratory and digital X-ray unit that never close, and a pharmacy stocked through the night. It has also meant keeping the same senior faces at the consulting table year after year, so that the doctor who treated a grandmother's fracture is often the one who now sees her grandson.
We measure ourselves on three things: how quickly a patient is diagnosed, how clearly the cost was explained before treatment, and whether the family would come back.

A legacy built in orthopaedics
The hospital's orthopaedic service was founded by Dr. K. Chandrasekaran, who has treated fractures, joint disease and trauma in this neighbourhood for over three decades. Generations of local families — construction workers, schoolteachers, autorickshaw drivers, grandparents recovering from hip fractures — have passed through that consulting room.
Around that core, a second generation of consultants in general medicine, paediatrics, ENT, general surgery, plastic surgery and physiotherapy has been built, each chosen for the same reason: they explain, they do not over-investigate, and they stay reachable after the discharge summary is written.
